Roblox Analytics Metrics Explained: Visits, RPV, Engagement

March 9, 20268 min read

Roblox exposes a small set of public numbers per experience. Used together, they describe a game's size, health and monetisation far better than any single one alone.

Visits

Lifetime count of play sessions started. Cumulative and never decreases, so it measures history rather than current health. Useful as a denominator, misleading as a headline.

Concurrent players (CCU)

Live players in the experience right now. The most responsive health metric, but strongly affected by time of day.

Rating

Upvotes divided by total votes. Above 90% is excellent, 80–90% is solid, below 70% signals a retention problem or a monetisation backlash.

Favourites

Intent to return. A high favourite-to-visit ratio means players are treating the game as a home, which correlates strongly with long-run revenue.

RPV — Robux per visit

Estimated monetisation efficiency. Two games with identical traffic can differ tenfold in earnings purely on RPV, which is why revenue leaderboards look nothing like player-count leaderboards.

Engagement score

A composite of players relative to lifetime visits, rating and favourites. It answers: for its size, is this game unusually sticky?

Opportunity score

A 0–100 verdict combining growth rate, player sentiment, retention proxies and competition in the niche — designed to answer whether a genre is worth entering, not whether a game is big.
